Finally the new device has been released and it is the iPad
It's like an A4 slab <1kg which you can use for email, web browsing, music and movies. Like a big iPod Touch.
You can get a keyboard/dock which gives you real writing ability rather than the thumbs or one finger of iPods and iPhones.
There'll be two versions - WiFi only first, then WiFi and 3G [data only] later, in April.
Also, video-out via composite cable like the iPhone. Doesn't look like you can directly connect a printer [good] and you can directly connect a camera [with an adaptor] to download pics from the camera

As a confirmed email and web nut I can see the beauty and desirability of the device. Pricing will determine its success, over a MacBook [no Australian prices yet].
What about eePC? No contest.
